Late March 2002, Nintendo released the mammoth Fire Emblem Six: The Sword of Seals. Reciving mixed reviews upon release, many gamers have realized that FE6 is a game that takes time to appreciate, and initial impressions about the game do little to tell the whole story about it. All of your favorite FE Traditions are carried on, and many Long Time FE Fans will see much nostalgia as they play through. The battle system is pretty much the same as previous FE's, so I won't go into too much detail here(For more detailed info, see my FE4 and 5 Guides). Some notable changes include: Fire, Wind, and Thunder magic have been Lumped into one 'Neutral' Category You can no longer capture enemys. Weight is only used for purposes of 'Rescuing' Group members/NPCs(Essentialy the same as Capturing them) You can access your Item storehouse in Battle, but you need to scramble the Horsecart to do so The Troubadour class can no longer use Swords. It no Longer promotes to Paladin The Paladin Class can use Axes The Nomad Leader class can use Swords in addition to bows The Mage Fighter/Mage Knight is Non-Existant Wind Spells do Critical Hits on Flying Units(This is actually from FE3, but they technicaly weren't Wind Spells back then^_~) That about sums up the major changes. Long Time FE fans will notice alot of these rules are Throwbacks to the Original Fire Emblem Basic Info Under Construction Advanced Info Under Construction Class Info- Spoiler Free Class listing Pre-Promotion-----> Promotion Lord-------------> Master Lord Social Knight--------> Paladin Troubadour----------> Valkyrie Axe Fighter----------> Warrior Mountain Theif-----> Berserker Pirate-------------> Berserker Myrmidon--------> Sword Master Mercenary---------------> Hero Priest-----------> High Priest Archer----------------> Sniper Nomad-------------->Nomad Lord Pegasus Knight-> Falcon Knight Dragon Knight--> Dragon Master Armor----------------> General Shaman-----------------> Druid Mage--------------------> Sage Mamkute Theif Dancer Bard Special notes- Almost all classes have a Female and Male version of the class. It is now just a Male Dancer Dancer/Bard/Transport cannot attack at ALL Pirates move over water, Mountain Thieves over mountains, and Berserkers over both. Shany, Tiet, and Yuuno can perform the Triangle Attack. Arrange them in a Triangle formation around an enemy and initate an attack. If your Lucky, you'll even get a Special Dialogue Cut in! Yuuno- 'Shany, Tiet, Let's do it! TRIANGLE ATTAAAAACK!' For all the trouble to get Cass, Chad actualy has better stats Despite rumors to the contrary, you keep Lilina throughout the game The Sword of Seals only has 20 uses If you do not visit all the Gaiden Chapters, the game ends at Chapter 21 Character Info This section deals with each Character, and their pros and cons. Spoilers abound in this section, so be wary. Roy- Roy plays like a Hybrid between Marth of FE3 and Leif of FE5. His evasion is actually rather high, but his Strength and Defense lacks. Being your Lord,if he dies it's a game over. He starts with a Rapier, and this by far one of the best weapons for him to use. He also preforms well with a Kill Sword, although you'll need to have him gain several levels for him to use it effectively. Although the Sword of Seals only has 20 uses, it's high attack power and ranged attack makes Roy INCREDIBLY effective. Lilina- WOW! An almost exact port of Linda from FE3, Lilina has a powerful magic attack, strong stat gains, and an uncanny speed knack. Not to mention she convinces the oddest people..If you cant' convince someone try Lilina! ^_~ Dieck/Dick- A whirling dervish of death, that is just about unstoppable. Consider his first 10 levels or so warming up his engine, and then use this steamroller of death whenever you need something killed..fast! About the only thing wrong with him is he chews through weapons like no ones business ^_~ Shany- AKA Psycho Shany. The Pegasus Equivilent of Dieck. Give her a thin lance and watch her tear through EVERYTHING. You'll feel bad for beating the enemy down so badly! Tiet- Tiet isn't as psycho as her sister, but clocks in a higher speed rating. She is weak at first, but will vastly improve as she levels up, although Shany will almost always surpass her in combat
