Roll Them Bones!

Right now I am on my way to the beach, to experience the great adventure known as The Family Vacation. I will be sure to post a review next time. As I write this, summer has decided to take a break. The last few days have averaged a high of just 74 so we have not had to worry about making saving throws against environmental hazards. Of course, that will change momentarily, I am sure.

Today is the last day to submit an entry to win a copy of The Sceptre Tower of Spellgard adventure. In order to enter, simply send an email to your host with an answer to the following question: Name one other product written by either of the authors of The Sceptre Tower of Spellgard, David Noonan and Greg A. Vaughn. Also today is your last day to submit interview questions for Jason Bulmahn and Monte Cooke.

It is only five weeks until the release of Paizo Publishing's Pathfinder RPG on August 13th. Between now, and August 12th, Saving Throw is giving you a chance to win an autographed copy of the book. In order to win, you simply have to answer a short Pathfinder Trivia Quiz. If you kept up with Pathfinder's development, this trivia quiz should be rather simple. Answers to all the trivia questions can be found on Paizo Publishing's website.

Gaming Tip of the Column -- Know what your character's class features can and can not do. Recently one of the regulars in my playing group was away, and I ran his druid for him. When he came back he was amazed at how effective the druid had been in combat while he was away. The key is to think about the character in different ways, and to ask others for ideas for what you might be overlooking.
