I'll refrain from making the usual pun about Wednesday rolling around yet again. With this new Saving Throw, our Points of View curator returns with another story about his psychic dwarf's battle against a zombie giant. JC Carleski returns with a followup to my guide on choosing dice when creating a tabletop RPG. For submitting a guide, JC earns himself a golden caret:
^
Submit a guide and earn your own golden caret! For that matter, submit anything good, and you have a chance of earning a golden caret for your efforts! You know you want one!
And with that done, it's time for the meat of the column.
Gaming Tip of the Week
"If it really is you against the gamemaster, you're probably not going to win. That doesn't mean you can't try."
Our Points of View curator takes on a dungeon master who wanted to kill his psychic dwarf very badly, and with clever use of abilities, the psychic dwarf makes it very difficult for the dungeon master.
White Wolf Publishing will be holding a demonstration of Promethean: The Created, a new RPG in its World of Darkness line slated for an August 10 release, at Marcon, a fantasy and science fiction convention taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, Ohio from May 26 to 28. Matt McFarland, who has contributed written material for the game and who is currently working on Promethean supplements, will be running the demo.
Legend of the Five Rings 2006 World Championship Location Announced
Alderac Entertainment Group has announced that the Legends of the Five Rings CCG 2006 World Championship will be held in Brussels, Belgium. While Alderac is still considering event venues, it did note that it was negotiations with The Brussels Event Brewery the host the event. These world championships will be held from September 29 to October 1st.
And so it ends. . .
Yeah, I'm not really in the mood for a long outro today, so have a good week and may you make all your saves. I'll back next week with another Saving Throw.
Correction: Due to E3 next week, the next Saving Throw will go up on May 17.
