March comes around, and this might be the last roll for the Saving Throw for a while, I'm afraid. Bartleby has decided that the Saving Throw is not for him, sadly, and this is my last column, so there is currently no one to take over. It is my hope that this situation will be resolved quickly to bring you new Saving Throw columns under a new curator, but only time can tell.
It's been a fun ride, but I need new challenges and the Saving Throw deserves someone with real passion for it, which I've been lacking for some time. I'd like to thank all of you who have been loyal readers; you've made sticking around for all this time worth it. It is with a heavy heart that I leave Saving Throw without someone to replace me, but I'm simply not willing to delay moving on any longer. I'll still be here at RPGamer, but I'll be behind the scenes; a ghost in the machine, so to speak. If I do my new job right, you won't notice my work, because I'll just be making sure everyone else's work looks good and trying to make their jobs easier.
But enough of this depressing announcement. At least this interruption in the Saving Throw comes on a high note; both Nostrum and Artea sent in stories for the hall of fame. Nostrum tells us of an effort to steal an airship that didn't go very well, and Artea tells us of an interesting battle against witches.
So, onto my last column...
Gaming Tip of the Week
"Never let them see you bleed, and always have an escape plan."
I'd say this isn't goodbye, but since my new work is behind the scenes, perhaps it is, and I hate long goodbyes. So, remember, in everything you do, always, always have an escape plan.
