Who said that?
Dear Gogo(I am sure it is really you taking a human form),

I have been following RPGamer for a year now and I have just one question. Who puts those (random) quotations from RPGs on the top bar on home page, like the most recent one involving 7th Saga?
Adam Simmons

Googleshng:
You'd think there's just some staffer who has the job of changing that on a certain day of the week right? Well, there isn't. Whenever someone is updating index and they have the urge, they change it. I put up that one, and I think I'll change it again when I upload this column.

Rumor Mills
Goo,
I've been hearing a lot of negative things about the dreamcast. I expected people to slam the "Next Sega System", but the disturbing rumors about the system crashing, busting and releasing acrid smoke into our already stressed-out ozone layer has me a million miles away from buying a dreamcast. I've heard and read about the dreamcast controller itself busting. Is there any truth to these claims? I dearly hope not, for the sake of a possible Grandia 2 seeing US shores (among other coolness).

In dire straits,
Chris

Googleshng:
Let me just say that I have seen as many Dreamcasts explode as I've seen parties containing General Leo, Aeris, and Schala.

VH1 (snicker) vs. VH2
So you're lacking questions, eh? Well... so am I! But I got one for ya. Everywhere I go I hear how Vandal Hearts 2 is a disgrace to the series and is nothing like the 1st. I agree on how it's nothing like the first. But is it *really* that bad? I'm over half way through and I must say it is addictive beyond belief and rocks! I say it meets the first game except that it has no class change system and instead trys to make up for it in weapons and armor. Well, what do you think? Are you a pro or con Vandal Hearts 2 man/woman/thing?
-Mercury of the Sailor Knights

Googleshng:
Well, Vandal Hearts 1 was a really great game, and a whole lot of people, myself included, were expecting more of the same. Honestly speaking though, VH2 is a pretty darn good game in it's own way. Heck, I've yet to play a bad TRPG. 8)

Hey Google,
I like your new gif. It's funny because you can't tell if it's a guy or girl...hehehe. Anyway, I'd like to know your opinion on RPG Maker. Personally, I think it could be a great game because I have a lot of ideas as far as RPGs go. It would probably take up the whole memory card like Fighter Maker, though. What do you think about it?

-SeaMonkey

Googleshng:
I can basically guarrentee it'll take a full card, yeah. As for my opinion, well, I know I'M not going to get it. For one thing, the whole concept is way too limiting. I mean, it only makes cookie cutter 8/16 bit style RPGs, right? Then there's text entry without a keyboard, an awful lot of work, and of course, size limitations. Ick. Give me several years in from of a C++ compiler thank you. As for those of you who aren't programmers and want to make cookie cutter RPGs, ever hear of Verge? I hear good things about it.

Grandia eh?
i dont know if you havce but if you've played grandia id like to know what you think. im thinking about buying it and dont want it to suck. by the way, i hated star ocean.

Googleshng:
Well, if you liked Lunar and Xenogears, you'll like Grandia. That's what it boils down to.

Lucky bum!
Googleshng, For Christmas, my parents had no clue what to get me, so they just gave my $300 to go buy whatever I wanted. I plan to spend most of it on video games, but I don't know what which ones to get...Could you help me?

Thanks,
Mike (Whos really a girl but somehow my nickname got to be Mike ^_^;;)

Googleshng:
That's what I usually get for Christmas, then I use it to buy all the RPGs between Christmas and my birthday, but this year I just got a DC. Wah! Ahem. Anyway, if you look at some of my old columns, I've made a whole bunch of Christmas lists for people. I'm too exhausted to go dig them out, but they're easy to find. 8)

I can't think of anything funny to say. Dang. I really wanted to think of something funny to send to you so you'd post it in Quickies. Drat. Oh well.

Don't worry. It'll come.

Could you see the similiarity between Neon Genesis Evangelion and Xenogears?

For the umpteenth time, yes, but there's a LOT more with Escaflowne.

Where are locations of the mana eggs in Grandia?

Josh

All over the place. Seriously. Just look carefully.

are you a hermaphrodite?

I ran out of Quickies I felt like answering.

Very few Quickies.

Not enough to satisfy.

I've been short a couple times now...

It sucks.

The Last Laugh:

This is my last column of the year. I hope you enjoyed it. Anyway, Next year I think I'll be off in the industrial core of the land rather than the green and rocky eastern edge. On the bright side, it means I can get some serious serious work done on my game. 8) Well, that's all. Have a happy new year.
