It seems like ages since Roundtables has updated. My lack of time has led to this monstrous delay. For that I apologize, and I hope that the section can pick up with someone else. I've decided to step down from the position of Roundtable Moderator to allow someone else to shower it with love and make it blossom like it should. It's been fun, but this column truly is my swan song.
This topic started months ago when we were all discussing the soundtrack of Dragon Quest VIII in the staff channel. We were praising it, and I got the idea to have a discussion about music in games. It is becoming a valid genre of music and may one day be much more than just a niche market. So I thought I'd sit a few RPGamers together and discuss all things musical.

We began things with a chat about our favorite RPG OST. That was followed by what we want from our music, and then a section where we just freely discussed videogame music in general. The topic was a little looser than some others due to the nature of the subject, but it ended up being a pretty good talk nonetheless. And I have a feeling it would have gone on forever had I not had to cut it short due to time restrictions.
