Dragons Can Never Have Enough Gold

[10/13/01]: Hello again, kiddies (or is that officially 'kitties' in PsoV..?)! We've got a special treat for you, this update; RPGamer's glorious boss man, Mikel Tidwell, goes 'gold' today! Everyone applaud the man who brings you a functional site. Now, I'll step aside and let him take the mike (pun intended):

Mikel Tidwell:
Wow, I'm surprised that I've done over 15 reviews already. For those new to the site, I'm the Head Dragon in charge of making the site go. Most of my reviews are worked on before the game comes out, which is a lot of fun, when you think about it.

You may have noticed that we're sometimes behind other sites when posting reviews. That is because there is an industry "standard" that it's okay to review a game, even if you don't complete it. RPGamer is one of the few sites that does not adhere to this standard. RPGamer will only review a game when we have seen the credits roll. While this is a sacrifice of speed, it gives the reader the comprehensive view a review should have. This has always been RPGamer's policy, and I thank you for understanding.

I don't really have anything else to say. This caught me by a bit of surprise. When Paws came to me about the Saiyuki review she overlooked, we counted all my reviews, and realized that was #16. Oops! I'm glad you read my reviews, and I hope to bring you many more. Thanks for visiting!

Although we may poke and prod him for reviews a lot of the time, he always comes through. And, let's face it people. Keeping RPGamer functional has got to be a heck of a job. Keep up the excellent work, Myst!

Keep It Real
In your reviews, try to be as specific as possible without actually giving anything away. The majority of readers don't like having major parts of a games' plot spoiled when they're trying to decide whether or not to buy a game. Generalize plot elements, but keep the basic gist of your review at hand.
