[09/05/00] - Paws with no internet access:
*maniacal laughter*
*huge phone bills*
*500+ pages of reading a day*
*Paws' eyes slowly crossing*
"dbnVCJKASDBNUIGFHERUQIGJIDANVJIQ BEER (I was forced to drink it) SUPERCALIFRAGILOUSTISEXPIALADOCIOUS DSNJLK;VNASDUIGFHERWIUHTRIUQENVJKNI"
Needless to say, I took the lack of access rather well, except that I couldn't access any of my poor reader reviews! *coughs*
Random thought: I go to school, and find I've been put into the wrong class - a class I never even signed up for; this situation sucks since I can't get it fixed for 3 frickin days. I don't want to go back, in some ways, yet I DO want to go back, in some ways. I'm holding my breath that the teachers don't strike. *Paws turns blue from lack of breath*.
Oh yeah, Radrisol wants me to hook him up with the original artist of my sig piccie. Mind emailing me? Thanks :)
UPDATE UPDATE! Yeah, I sound silly again. Now that it's required to have titles for your reviews, I'm including them in the update instead of the generic 'review' or 'retroview' (though I may tack those on the end or something just to remind people what's what). See the review writing boo-boos for more on this topic ;)
SUBMISSIONS UPDATE! 1. Well, this isn't really an update as much of a reminder to myself and contributors. Please, please, when your work goes up, check on it :) I try to check everything before it goes up, but many times I'll forget (or think I've already done it when I haven't), or won't have time (RL tends to do that :P~), and it would be greatly appreciated if you could take time to check on my publication. If you find a problem, don't hesitate to email me! and I'll try to fix it as quickly as possible.
2. From now on, when submitting it would be greatly appreciated if you could include in the email how many reviews you've done before. With all my various authors, sometimes I can't keep track and on 16MB of RAM, checking past update pages just isn't viable any more, since there's more than a dozen now. Thank you for understanding and don't forget that review count in your next submission! =^^=
Review Writing BooBoos
Multiple Reviews per game/per update
Now that the volume of reviews has increased, two things begin popping up that people are constantly asking about. First is multiple reviews per game. Yes, they are allowed. My current floating cap is '10' per game. Now, that doesn't mean it's absolute in either way. For example, Xenogears has been getting a lot of attention lately. If I see more reviews come in, I may turn away a few and simply ask for their resubmission in a couple months' time. It doesn't mean you *shouldn't* write about XG, it just means your work may not be published immediately. Secondly is multiple reviews per update. As demonstrated a couple updates in a row, one author is most certainly allowed to have multiple reviews. Just please remember to send them individually, and no more than 5 per update :)
Titled Reviews, Take 2
I warned you. Now it's time to have some fun >:) For, from now on, when a review comes in with no title, I'm simply going to title it myself. So, you have no reason now not to give it a good name ;)
AOHell, Take 2
I've had a few people email me 'testing' to see if they can send reviews from their AOL accounts. /ALL/ of them rejected my emails. For those of you who emailed me, this is your clue that it didn't work. Please, PLEASE, don't send me 'test emails'. Check your AOL settings, and if you think your email is going to be rejected, send it from somewhere else. I'm sorry it has to be this way but if I can't answer back to your review and it gets rejected, there's no way for me to contact you.
