Nyau. My name is Firemyst, and I am a Mithra from the Federation of Windurst. Vana'diel is a beautiful, exciting world, and I hoped that many of you would be interested in seeing Vana'diel through one kitty's eyes.
No matter where you go, there is always something to see. Right now, I am taking a small break in Jeuno, one of the cities in Vana'diel. Jeuno is where many of the higher level people gather together to buy, sell and trade items, as well as find others to help on their various adventures. Jeuno is almost always the busiest place in all of Vana'diel.
This week, however, Jeuno has felt very empty. Halloween is approaching quickly, and the other cities: Windurst, San d'Oria, and Bastok, have been visited by unusual guests. Ghouls, ghosts, skeletons and more wander freely in the cities. I do not understand why the Star Sybil has allowed these undead to wander freely in Windurst, but since they have yet to threaten anyone, I must abide by her decision. People have returned to their home cities in droves, hearing that these apparitions offer special items if you offer them sweets. My luck for the most part has been that these foul beings tricked me, turning me into a wolf, a ghost, or worst of all, the cursed Yagudo! I am lucky that none of my fellow Mithra saw me in such an outfit... I would have had to run for my life. Weary from their tricks, I returned to Jeuno to enjoy the unusual quietness while it lasts.
Hopefully next week Vana'diel will be back to normal, and I will be able to share what's it's like to go out in a party and fight the countless monsters still roaming around. Until then, happy hunting. ^.^
