Capcom provided more details of the upcoming PlayStation 4 beta for Monster Hunter: World. The beta will start on December 9, 2017 at 9:00am PT / 5:00pm GMT / 6:00pm CET and end on December 12, 2017 at 8:59am PT / 4:59pm GMT / 5:59pm CET. Those who wish to participate will need an internet connection, a PS Plus subscription, and 5.9 GB of free space for the download.
The beta itself will include three quests across two environments, with players able to team up with up to three others. The first, beginner-friendly quest will pit players against a Great Jagras in the Ancient Forest. Intermediate players can travel to the Wildspire Wastes to hunt down a Barroth. Finally, advanced players can return to the Ancient Forest to take on an Anjanath. Those who complete the quests in the beta will receive bonuses for the full game when it releases on January 26, 2018. Monster Hunter: World will also be released for Xbox One on the same date and PC at a later date. Capcom also recently released a ten-minute Japanese introduction video for the game.
