Ghostlight, which is working with Aksys Games on the PC version of Nihon Falcom's Tokyo Xanadu eX+, has opened applications for the release's closed beta. As detailed on Ghostlight's blog, applicants will need to send an e-mail to betagroup@ghostlight.uk.com with their name, date of birth and PC technical specifications. Applications are open until November 12, 2017, with the decision on who is accepted based on various factors.
Developed by Nihon Falcom, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is an enhanced port of PlayStation Vita title Tokyo Xanadu, which released earlier this year in North America and Europe. The game is a modern-day action RPG where players control a party of characters from Moriyama City as they deal with the threat from a mysterious shadow world called the Eclipse. The eX+ version offers new monsters, dungeons, story events, and a new playable character. Those looking to read more about the game can check out RPGamer's review of the PlayStation Vita release. In addition to the PC version, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is set for release on PlayStation 4 in North America on December 8, 2017.
Update — Aksys Games also today confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of Tokyo Xanadu eX+ will be released physically and digitally in Europe on December 8, 2017.
