A new trailer and information for Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moonreveal the return of both villains and legendaries from prior games in the series. Lead by Giovanni, Team Rainbow Rocket also features leaders of past organisations from other titles such as Team Flare and Team Plasma. In addition, players who travel through the new Ultra Wormholes will be able to meet both new Ultra Beasts and past legendary Pokémon such as Lugia, Mewtwo, and Ho-Oh, some of whom will be exclusive to one of the two versions.
Another new feature coming to Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon is the Battle Agency. Here players will be able to rent powerful Pokémon and take other teams of rented Pokémon. The variety of Pokémon available at the agency will grow as players meet others, either locally or online. Players will also be able to collect Totem Stickers scattered around the Alola region, and will be able to get huge totem-like Pokémon depending on how many stickers they collect.
Finally, the QR Scanner will return in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. This lets players use the Island Scan to encounter Pokémon that did not appear in the previous game, including Charmander, Grovyle, and Greninja. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be released exclusively for Nintendo 3DS on November 17, 2017.
