Pokémon Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon

The Pokémon Company has released a new trailer for Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon showing how players will interact with wormholes scattered throughout the Alola region. Trainers who acquire a Solgaleo or Lunala can use those legendary Pokémon to travel through the wormholes, reaching new worlds like the Ultra Megalopolis. With its light stolen by Necrozma, only a mysterious tower offers illumination to Ultra Megalopolis but what lies at the top of the tower is unknown.

New details were also given regarding the game's antagonists, the Ultra Recon Squad. Made of people who crossed through the wormholes from a different world, the Squad — a different pair appearing depending upon which version you are playing — arrive with new a new Ultra Beast, UB Adhesive. UB Adhesive is a Poison-type Pokémon that stores venom in its head and is said to be smart enough to understand human speech.

In addition to two different versions of the Ultra Recon Squad, each will also have another unique Ultra Beast. Ultra Sun's team, Dulse and Zossie, will come with UB Burst. UB Burst is a Ghost and Fire-type Pokémon whose head is made up of sparks that confuse the oppenent before exploding violently. Ultra Moon's team, Soliera and Phyco, arrive instead with UB Assembly. UB Assembly is a Rock and Steel Pokémon that appears to be a stack of stones, though each layer is a seperate life-form.

Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon will be available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS on November 17, 2017.
