Bandai Namco Games' Southeast Asian branch recently announced the release date for its English Asian version of Super Robot Wars V, the latest mainline entry in the franchise. The game will be released in the region on February 23, 2017, the same date as its release in Japan. The English Asian version will be available both digitally and physically for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Super Robot Wars V is the eighth standalone title in the long-running tactical RPG crossover series. New franchises that will be making their first appearances in the series — along with mainstays such as Gundam and Full Metal Panic — include Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Cross Ange. The game will also feature two original protagonists named Soji Murakumo and Chitose Kisaragi.
