YummyYummyTummy, developer of PlayStation 4 title Fallen Legion, announced that it plans to bring the game to PlayStation Vita. The developer also stated that the PlayStation Vita version would be different from its console counterpart. A new trailer accompanied the game, which shows general gameplay concepts and a brief glimpse of the new Vita version.
Announced at last year's PlayStation Experience, Fallen Legion is a 2D action RPG inspired by fighting game combat. The PlayStation 4 version of the game follows Princess Cecille, who assumes the throne after the untimely death of her father and must wage war against an invading army of beasts using the power of a magical book to animate weapons into soldiers.
By comparison, the PlayStation Vita version will feature a different story mode that runs concurrently with the actual game. Players will follow the story of the Legate, an official who seeks to claim the throne for himself. Throughout the campaign, choices will be made that have a permanent impact on the game world, such as choosing to defend a city from barbarians or cutting a deal with the barbarians to get them to leave.
Fallen Legion is set to release in the first half of 2017.
