Japanese developer and publisher Level-5 is bringing out a third version of its spirit-collecting RPG, Yo-kai Watch 3. The new Sukiyaki version will join the original Sushi and Tempura versions in Japan on December 15, 2016. Aside from new monsters and likely tie-ins to the film, it will also contain a new game mode called Yo-Kai Watch Busters T (for Treasure), a four-person multiplayer dungeon exploring game.

Those who already own either of the two primary versions of the game will be able to download what Level-5 officially calls a Very Large Update to get all the upgraded material, monsters, and new game mode. None of the versions of Yo-kai Watch 3 has been announced for localisation at this time. Yo-kai Watch 2 Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls were released in North America in September 2016, with European releases set for spring 2017.
