A new trailer has been released for inXile's Torment: Tides of Numenera, this time focusing on the setting of the game, Numenera. Also known as the Ninth World, Numenera is the planet Earth one billion years in the future, where numerous powerful civilizations have risen and declined in the interim. Much of their technology is still found, though few understand it.

Tides of Numenera is the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment, transplanting the themes of the game into the pen and paper setting of Numenera. The game is currently in Early Access with a full release planned for early 2017 on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
