At the same time as it announced the revival of the Valkyria Chronicles series with a new game, Valkyria: Azure Revolution, Sega also revealed that the series' first game would get a HD remaster for PlayStation 4. Now the publisher has its first footage from the Valkyria Chronicles HD Remaster in a trailer, viewable below. The trailer also reveals its release date in Japan as February 10, 2016.

Valkyria Chronicles is a turn-based strategy RPG focusing mostly on gun-based combat, which sees the nation of Gallia invaded by the neighbouring East Europan Imperial Alliance. The game was originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2008 before being ported to PC in 2014. Two other games in the series were later released for PlayStation Portable, with the third game being released only in Japan. It has not yet been announced whether the HD remaster will be released in North America or Europe.
