Square Enix has announced that it has delayed the Japanese release of Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. Originally planned for a February 25, 2016 release date, the game will be given an extra month of development time for polish. The new release date for the game in Japan will be March 31, 2016. The game's western release is still planned for sometime in 2016.

Integrity and Faithlessness marks the first game in the series since Star Ocean: The Last Hope. on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan, with the western release to be exclusively for PlayStation 4.
