With just a few months to go before the game's release in Japan, Square Enix and tri-Ace have been revealing details about its characters for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. This time aorund the company is showing off the party member Lilia.
Lilia is an amnesiac twelve-year-old girl who comes across up with the protagonists, Fidel and Miki. Motivated to recover her lost memories, she joins with the two though it appears as though she is a point of interest to someone else. Lilia will not be a playable character, but she will be able to join the fight in a supporting role.
Private Actions are making a return to the series as well. These scenes show interactions between different party members based off of those party members' affection toward one another and how much progress has been made in the game. The strength of the connection dictates which scenes will be available and unique abilities can be unlocked through the system.
Star Ocean 5 releases in Japan for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on February 25, 2016. A western release is planned for 2016 but only for the PlayStation 4 version of the game.
