Developer and publisher Sega released a new trailer for its upcoming PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 remake of the first Yakuza game, which is titled Yakuza Kiwami. The trailer is narrated by characters Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, who introduce various features present in the remake. Amongst the new features highlighted are the "Anywhere Majima" system that allows Kiryu to fight Majima pretty much anywhere, new battle styles for Kazuma Kiryu, and various mini-games.

Yakuza Kiwami is due to be released in Japan on January 21, 2015, where it comes with a demo download code for Yakuza 6. There is no announcement yet regarding a possible western release for either Yakuza Kiwami or Yakuza 6, but Yakuza 5 is planned for digital release in North America and Europe this year.
