It's November, and that means Anima: Gate of Memories is all set to release on Mac and Windows via Steam, Linux, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The basis of the plot has already been announced - players control two characters, Ergo and the Bearer, switching between them on the fly in the action-oriented gameplay, performing moves and combos, and linking them between the two characters on the fly. Their quest is to pursue the Red Lady, a rogue member of their own Order of Nathaniel, after she has absconded with the Byblos, an artifact of immense power.
While all of this has been known, a newly released prelude video, while not showing off any actual gameplay, sets up a bit more of the game's background mythology, detailing the fall of the Sacred Holy Empire of Abel, and the darkness the land was subsequently cast into. With this, the stage has been set for the curtain to rise on Anima: Gate of Memories, and for players to jump right into the thick of things when it releases later this month.
