Bandai Namco's Sword Art Online: Lost Song is out now in Europe for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, with its North America release set to follow tomorrow, and as is often the case a new launch trailer has come with it. Taking place in an alternate continuity to the main anime and light novel series, Lost Song is set after previous game Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment and sees players attempting to complete a new area that has appeared in the fictional virtual-reality MMORPG Alfheim Online.

Unlike the previous title, Lost Song allows players to take control of characters other than Kirito such as Asuna, Sinon, and Agil. The game also introduces aerial travel and combat. Another new game in the series, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, is due to be released in Japan for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 in 2016.
