With millions of players logging into World of Warcraft's servers on a daily basis, Blizzard Entertainment has had its hands full keeping them coming back for more for over a decade now. And the developer-publisher has set its sights on once again upping their MMORPG's massive user base, offering more info on the next expansion to the ever-growing universe.

With the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Legion, players will receive a whole new continent filled with challenges, a raised level cap, and an all-new hero class to play as — the dextrous Demon Hunter. In summer 2016, The Burning Legion will make its return to Azeroth, intent on releasing the Dark Titan, bringing death and ruin to the fighters of both of its factions. And so heroes of the Alliance and the Horde travel to the Broken Isles to make a pact with an unlikely ally: the Demon Hunters of the Illidari.

To prepare players for the formidable challenges of the Broken Isles, Blizzard is offering those who digitally pre-order the expansion an immediate level boost to level 100 for one of their characters, available immediately upon pre-ordering (with boosts for additonal characters costing $60/£40 each). The Demon Hunter class itself, which will already start out at level 100, will also be available to play early for pre-orders, along with its beginning storyline content. The level cap as a whole will now be raised another ten levels to 110.

The expansion will also offer a barrage of other goodies when it releases next year. In addition to the new zones, the Broken Isles will afford players the opportunity to find and wield powerful Artifact Weapons that not only pack a mighty wallop but also allow customization. New PvP arenas and battlegrounds, as well as an Order Hall to recruit fellow NPCs to players' causes will also be part of the package. An exclusive retail Collector's Edition will come packed with a full-color hardcover art book, a behind-the-scenes two-disc Blu-ray/DVD set, a CD soundtrack, and a Legion mouse pad.

Upgrading to the Deluxe Edition will net players a new exclusive Illidari Felstalker warhound mount and Nibbles pet. Similar bonuses also extend across a host of other Blizzard titles: Heroes of the Storm also receives a Felstalker mount, while StarCraft II players get Fel Protoss portraits and characters in Diablo III will be outfitted with the Wings of the Betrayer to give them a more fearsome look.

World of Warcraft: Legion, whether purchased digitally or via retail, is anticipated to cost players $49.99/£34.99 for the Standard Edition, or $69.99/£49.99 for its Deluxe Edition counterpart. Players will be limited to one Demon Hunter per realm, and unlocking this class is dependent on having at least one level 70 or above character in the realm already.
