Square Enix released a trailer for the most recent major patch to its MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, announcing with it a release date. The 3.1 patch offers new content for owners of its expansion, Heavensward, and is due to be released November 10, 2015.

Patch 3.1, titled As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness, adds new story content following the conclusion of Heavensward and introduces a new 24-player raid named the Void Ark. The patch also adds Exploratory Missions where players can use their airships to find equipment and items, plus two new high-level dungeons: Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum and Pharos Sirius (Hard). The game's Gold Saucer section gets some additions too, with a new minion-based RTS mode called Lord of Verminion.
