Genei Ibun Roku ♯FE, the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem crossover title, received new media and gameplay details this week. The first group of screenshots, accompanied by a short video viewable at the bottom of this article, relates to an ability called Performa. Performa allows Mirages and their masters to sense hidden passions, which generate an otherwise-invisible form of energy. The enemies in the game attack humans to get at this energy, which they do not have access to in their world.
The second group of screenshots shows a few uses of the second screen on the Wii U Gamepad. The protagonist's colleagues will often send notes to him through a messaging tool. The protagonist will sometimes be able to advance the story by going through these messages, and replying to certain ones will unlock side-stories that can strength his relationship with the characters. A third and final set of screenshots highlights some of the stores in the game, which offer useful items, accessories, and outfits.
In addition to the aforementioned media, new trailers appeared focusing on the characters Mamori Minamoto, whose Mirage is Draug (or Dohga) from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, and Barry Goodman. Genei Ibun Roku ♯FE is due to be released exclusively for Nintendo Wii U in Japan on December 26, 2015. The game will be released in North America and Europe at some point in 2016.
