Winter Wolves, the creator of Loren The Amazon Princess, returns to the universe with the spinoff game Tales of Aravorn: Seasons of the Wolf. In Tales of Aravorn you play as either one of two twins, Shea or Althea, and experience a year of their life told through four Seasons, or acts.
The game plays as a cross between a turn-based RPG and visual novel. For its RPG elements, players will be able to choose from nine different classes, each with a unique set of skills, and explore the gameworld via an isometric map, a new feature for the series. For the visual novel elements, the story will feature branching paths based off of decisions you make and romanceable NPCs, whose relationships may also change the course of the story.
Tales of Aravorn: Seasons of the Wolf is available now on available now on Winter Wolves' official site for PC, Mac, and Linux, with a Steam release due sometime in January 2015. There is also a demo available for the game. For an idea of what to expect, read Alex Fuller's review of Loren The Amazon Princess.
