Atlus of Japan held a press event this week during which the company announced a number of games in the Persona series. Chief among these was Persona 5, which will be coming out in Japan for the PlayStation 3 in late 2014. Although there is no North American release announcement yet, one is near-assured in the future.

The teaser trailer for Persona 5 reveals very little about the game. A theme of enslavement is invoked and the colour red is extremely prominant.

Several other Persona spinoff games were also announced, including one relevant to this site. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is a chibi-style RPG that will be released on the 3DS. We will have to wait and see if it is announced for an English-language release.
