The annual fees for the Pokémon Bank app for Pokémon X and Y have been revealed. This service, which allows players to store up to three thousand Pokémon, will cost $4.99 per year in the US, £4.99 in the UK, €4,49 in Europe, $6.50 in Australia, and $8.50 in New Zealand. The Pokémon Bank will become available on the 3DS eShop on December 27 in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Starting from December 27 until January 31, 2014, players who download the app will be able to obtain a pass for a 30-day free trial period. They will be able to use all of the Bank's services, including being able to download the Poké Transporter app. This will enable players to transfer their creatures from Pokémon Black and White and Black 2 and White 2 to the Pokémon Bank, from where they can in turn be transferred to X and Y. The Poké Transporter cannot be downloaded separately.
