Mass Effect 3

New details have been revealed for Omega, the next piece of single-player DLC for Mass Effect 3. Among the details revealed were the inclusion of two new squadmates that accompany Shepard to the titular station for the duration of the DLC.

Players will likely be familiar with the first of Shepard's Omega squadmates; Aria T'Loak, Omega's former de facto ruler. Aria is a powerful asari biotic and has access to new abilities designed specifically for her use. The premise of the DLC revolves around Aria's attempt to take back Omega from the hands of Cerberus.

Joining Shepard and Aria on Omega will be the games' first female turian. Nyreen Kandro is a former member of the turian military and is currently leader of the Talon mercenary group. As with Aria, Nyreen also receives abilities created solely for her. Neither of the characters are romanceable or able to be brought into the main story, but the player's choices throughout the DLC are stated to affect Aria's opinion and actions towards Shepard.

Shepard's usual squad members will have to be left behind while players are on Omega, for reasons that will be explained within the DLC's story. Omega will be released on November 27 for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 at a of cost 1200 MS Points or $14.99, and is stated to contain roughly four hours of gameplay.
