Epic Games has announced that Infinity Blade: Dungeons, the dungeon-crawling spinoff of the Infinity Blade series, has been delayed until 2013. It was previously announced that it would be released this year, but that has become difficult because of the logistical demands of establishing Impossible Studios, the game's recently assembled development team.
As RPGamer previously covered, Impossible Studios was rather quickly assembled by gathering many of the developers of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning who lost their jobs because of the collapse of 38 Studios. Simply getting the new staff the desks and computers they need to work has contributed to the delay. However, Epic Games also says that the delay has been caused by the need to implement the many new ideas the new team is bringing to the game, which could make this delay good news in the long run.
