A screenshot of a Gamestop inventory list has surfaced on the Internet. It includes a Gamestop exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles package slated to release in April of 2012. This Nintendo-published game has received critical acclaim and seen strong sales in Japan and Europe, but Nintendo of America has thus far refused to confirm its North American release.

RPGamer has confirmed with Gamestop that this item is actually in Gamestop's system, so the image is not a fraud. We suspect that the phrase "Gamestop Exclusive" does not refer to the game itself being exclusive to Gamestop, but to an exclusive pre-order package. It looks like an official announcement of the game is imminent, as Nintendo of America has just uploaded some Xenoblade pictures to Facebook.

Update (1:30PM ET): Xenoblade Chronicles is officially confirmed for an April 2012 release in North America.
