In an interview on this week's Gametrailers TV, President Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo of America delivered some new information about Nintendo's upcoming Zelda games. A new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks shows Princess Zelda taking an active role in the game, albeit not entirely in her usual form. Zelda will even be travelling with Link during the game.

In disappointing news for fans waiting for the next major title in the series, Fils-Aime stated that Nintendo is not committing to releasing a new Zelda title in 2010.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will be released in December of this year. Nintendo has confirmed that it is working on a new Zelda title for the Wii, so information about that title may surface during 2010's major gaming expos.
