It was revealed days ago that the PC version of Borderlands had been delayed. Recently, Gearbox Software announced what the system requirements are for the PC version. Those specifications are:
System Requirements:
OS: Windows XP/Vista
Processor: 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor.
Memory: 1GB System Ram (2GB recommend with Vista)
Graphics: 256mb video ram or better.
Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space.
Sound: Windows compatable sound card.
According to PC Games Hardware, "Borderlands relies on a heavily modified version of Epic's Unreal 3 Engine and uses Physx API. Other technical features include Parallax Occlusion Mapping, soft Shadows, HDR Rendering, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion and Depth of Field. DirectX 10 is also recommended to ensure better performance."
Borderlands is set to release on October 20 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Steam is currently taking pre-orders, and the PC release ships October 26.
