Though Sega has yet to officially announce the delay in a press release, the company has updated its North American site to list Alpha Protocol for release in Spring 2010. This is pretty late notice, considering the title was scheduled for release in October up until this point, so many consumers were planning its purchase.
The game is being developed by Obsidian, and will be available for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms. Players assume the role of Michael Thornton, a highly trained operative who is doing his best to protect national security. RPGamer will follow up with the company if and when it announces the reason for the delay.
