The original Final Fantasy, which as we know was anything but final with Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV on the horizon, is now available for download on the Nintendo Wii virtual console. This was Square's (now part of Square Enix) supposed last attempt at hitting it big, and they definitely did with the title.

Final Fantasy allows players to choose four warriors of light as they attempt to save the world and its elemental crystals from doom. The group of four can be composed of any combination of the game's six classes: Fighter, Thief, Black Belt, Red Mage, White Mage, and Black Mage. Fiends are fought, dungeons are explored, and characters are leveled up. Final Fantasy is priced at 500 Wii Points.
