Atlus has announced that if people are lucky enough to purchase a copy of Demon's Souls, that they will be unable to sign in to the online portion of the game. The servers for this feature will go live on Tuesday, October 6, and purchasers that get the game early will get a PSN error prior to that.

Atlus will be shipping more copies of this game than it normally does for niche titles, as this is a major release for the company. To be exact, the company has shipped a "metric poop-ton" of the game and wants to ensure that anyone that is able to pick up the game early understands that the online portion will not yet be available.
