The next Ys game to be released in North America will be Atlus's Legacy of Ys: Books I & II for the Nintendo DS -- one cart containing remakes of both the first and second Ys games. The Ys series is known for its memorable music, and Atlus is recognizing this by providing a bonus soundtrack CD to those who pre-order the game.

Many consider the music from Ys to be some of the most emotional and moving of any game, making this pre-order soundtrack all the more sweet. The tracks in Legacy of Ys: Books I & II have also been remixed and improved. To allow the curious to sample a few tracks from the CD, Atlus has provided this link. Legacy of Ys: Books I & II will be released in North America on February 10, 2009 with an MSRP of $34.99.
