According to a Konami press release, the classic PlayStation RPG Suikoden will make its way onto the PlayStation Network today. Suikoden is one of the rarer PlayStation RPGs, making this release very special for the PSN.

In Suikoden, the player is cast as the head of the Liberation Army and must seek out up to 108 of the Stars of Destiny, player companions, to aid in the conflict against a corrupt government. Battles take place as one-on-one duels, six member team battles, and even large-scale warfare where the player controls multiple groups.

The PlayStation Network release of Suikoden will be priced at $5.99, which many would consider a bargain. With this release comes the hope that another rare PlayStation RPG, Suikoden II, may also be released sometime in the future.
