Warhammer Online Setting Top Players In Stone

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

PvP-based gameplay is very important to Mythic Entertainment, as evidenced by its two PC MMORPGs Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Bragging rights are a big part of PvP, and Mythic realized this by creating Dark Age of Camelot's constantly updated online leaderboards. When a player killed another in Dark Age of Camelot, the game also broadcast a message to each player in the entire zone to let everyone know who had just killed who.

Mythic's more recently released MMORPG, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, has similar elements to its gameplay, but Mythic has decided to take bragging rights one step further. Coming sometime in December, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning's patch version 1.1 will be adding statues of top-ranked players to the major cities. Only the cream of the PvP crop will be getting their names on these statues, and Mythic has hinted that even more rewards may be coming for its best players. Sometime in the future, there could also be special rewards given to players who can take out those set in stone. Mythic has proved that it wants to give all those World of Warcraft players out there as many reasons as possible to try something new.
