Valkaryia Chronicles just hit American shores on November 4, 2008. However, Japan has been enjoying this tactical RPG for months. The overwhelming reception for the game prompted Sega Japan to create an anime series based on the new franchise.

A-1 will produce the show, and they expect to begin airing in Japan around Spring 2009. Sega did not share any further details.
