World of Warcraft now has a larger population than New York City and Chicago combined. Blizzard just announced that the number of paying subscribers just passed 11 million.

Despite competition from newcomers such as Age of Conan and Lord of the Ring Online, Blizzard's mammoth MMORPG continues to dominate the market. The new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, will hit shelves on November 13th.
