The success of Diablo paved the way for many spin-offs to appear on a number of consoles. One of those games, Sacred, was well received by both gamers and reviewers, with some even calling it a spiritual successor to Diablo II.
Ascaron announced some time ago that a sequel, Sacred 2 was in the works for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We now know that the two console versions will be available in the first quarter of next year.
"We have committed ourselves to offering gamers nothing but top quality. In order to be able to further optimize the online components of the console versions, and ensure a simultaneous release world-wide, we have chosen to aim for this release date for the console versions," says Heiko tom Felde, CEO of ASCARON.
Sacred 2 will feature a huge world to explore with no loading times or level limits. Players will choose from six different, unique classes which they can customize from an array of skills, armors, weapons and mounts.
