Players who pre-order Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon for the DS will receive an exclusive gift. Natsume Inc., the publishers of the game, announced that the exclusive gift would be an adorable plush squirrel.

Players take on a multi-generational role during the game, a first for the series. Players will begin as Kyle with the opportunity to take the role of Kyle's son later in the game. Rune Factory 2 takes elements from Harvest Moon and adds action RPG and fantasy elements to the game.

President and CEO of Natsume, Hiro Maekawa said "There are gamers counting the days until they get their hands on Rune Factory 2, and we wanted to give them a little something special for being the first to order the game."
