Bethesda Softworks is celebrating ten years of Fallout history. In accordance with this celebration the company wants to share its enthusiasm by giving gamers a chance to design one of the Perks for the upcoming Fallout 3.

Perks in the Fallout series are special abilities or conditions that will aid players at certain levels. The objective of the contest is to create a unique Perk that aligns with an appropriate theme for Fallout. Only the written details as to what the Perk is and what it does are necessary; there is no need to create an icon to go along with the created Perk.

The winner will get his/her Perk featured in the game, see their name in the game's credits, and will have a choice of either the PC or Console grand prize. Prizes will also be given out to runners-up and honorable mentions; there will also be a random drawing which will give others a chance to win some extra prizes.

All entries are expected to be in by 11:59 pm (EST) on October 31, 2007. The winner and other awardees will be announced at an unspecified time in November. It is also scheduled for a Fall 2008 release.
