Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner

The publishing company Atlus USA has recently announced that it will be bringing Gaia Inc.'s Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner to the United States in early 2007. The game will be for the PlayStation Portable system. It will have many features for gamers to enjoy, such as an in-depth monster breeding system and wi-fi connectivity to battle and trade with other gamers.

The story of the game tells of a past where monsters and people lived in peace, but a Great Disaster lead to the monsters' dissapearance, leaving behind jewels that had tremendous energy. This energy became known as jewel power and helped rebuild the devastated civilization and brought peace. Now that the peace is threatened, a new elite class of warriors called Jewel Summoners is born to help restore the peace.

Originally released in Japan back in February of 2006, Jewel Summoner was developed and produced by Cozy Okada of Shin Megami Tensei fame. It features over 5 hours of voice acting and a soundtrack by over 10 renowned composers, such as Hitoshi Sakimoto of Final Fantasy XII. Jewel Summoner has a "T" rating from the ESRB for language, mild fantasy violence, and mild suggestive themes.
