Mastiff announced that it will be bringing Nihon Falcom's PSP game Gurumin to North America as Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure.

Shinji Yamazaki, president of Nihon Falcom, commented, "All of us at Nihon Falcom are absolutely delighted to see Gurumin released in the US. We're especially pleased to be working with Mastiff, as we know their localization will capture all the things that make the game great. Gurumin is our first internally developed console game to be released in the US, and we hope that it will bring pleasure to many people there."

The game follows a young girl named Parin. She is sent to live with her grandfather in a small mining town while her parents are excavating an ancient ruin. The town has no other children for her to play with, but one day she sees a young girl being attacked by a stray dog. She drives away the dog only to discover the the other little girl is a monster, and like all monsters, the girl is invisible to adults. Later, Parin is invited to pass through a crack in the wall behind her home to enter Monster Village where she begins to make new friends, but soon after her arrival, evil spirits called Phantoms start showing up and start monsternapping the residents. Then Parin learns of the Legendary Drill, a weapon hidden underneath the village that has the power to destroy the Phantoms. Thus begins her quest to find the Legendary Drill and set everything right.

Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure features non-linear gameplay and a cast of over 20 characters with which to interact. The game also sports a destructible environment where nearly everything can be torn asunder with your drill. There are also a plethora of puzzles, dungeons and mini-games.

Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure hit Japanese shelves on June 29 and will be coming to North America sometime in the first quarter of next year. Look to RPGamer for more news as it is received.
