Publisher Variant Interactive has announced that it and Team XKalibur have parted ways. Team XKalibur is the development company behind the Game Boy Advance RPG Mythri, and Variant's announcement means that the long-in-development game is once again without a publisher.
In explaining the announcement, Variant indicated that Team XKalibur sought to find a more agile production environment and develop a different publishing deal than the tentative one it had formed with Variant.
Mythri, an American-developed Japanese-style RPG, was originally slated for the Game Boy Color, but then upgraded to the Game Boy Advance. It is unknown what the newfound lack of a publisher means for Mythri's potential for a future commercial release.
