Atlus USA has announced that it has shipped its demonic PlayStation 2 RPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2, to North American retailers. The release unexpectedly comes a day earlier than its previously announced release date.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 follows the exploits of Serph, leader of the Embryon Tribe of the Junkyard, and Sera, a mysterious girl who had a transformational impact on the Embryon. It's a direct sequel to Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, picking up right where its predecessor left off. RPGamer previewed the post-apocalyptic title here.

The game should begin appearing on retailer shelves as early as tomorrow, and it comes with a suggested price of $49.99. Those who pre-ordered the game will also receive a bonus soundtrack with their purchase.
