Radiata Stories

New details have now been released about the battle system in Radiata Stories. Combat will be in real time, with the player only directly controlling Jack, the main character. With a total party of four, the other three members' actions are influenced by the "Voltage System".

In the upper left part of the screen, there will be a "Volty Gauge", which is an action meter. Any action you do requires points from the gauge, which is full at 100 points. You can refill this by succesfully hitting an opponent.

There's more to the Volty Gauge than just moving and attacking. An attack known as the "Volty Blow" costs 10 points off of the gauge so that you can perform a critical hit coupled with nice effect that include knocking your enemy down or speeding yourself up.

As stated before, the player will be predominantly controlling Jack during battles but there is also an option to use the Link System. Through the Link System, you are able to influence the actions that your party takes in battle. There are attack formations, which will boost your power, as well as "Guard" and "Healing" formations. More information and game trailers can be found on the official site.
